In this episode Garth interviews Marianne Lloyd from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ.  Marianne shares that her favorite class to teach is the undergraduate Research Methods course. She has been experimenting with specifications (spec) grading, and she advises that this works best (a) with content the faculty member is very familiar with and (b) when implemented in a department that is supportive of teaching innovation. Marianne absorbs so much around her, so she has to be careful about fiction and even the speed of podcast episodes.  She is genuinely committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and she describes her own growth regarding inclusivity that occurred during the pandemic.
